Christine (Brooks) Hamilton

Christine Brooks Hamilton, 97, of Whitsett passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at her home.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Webster Hamilton; her parents, Robert Therian Brooks and Gladys Braxton Brooks Cummings; one grandson, Adam Smith; and eight siblings, Julia Rucker, Sam Brooks, Robert Brooks, Mearl Starling, Rae West, Dorothy Roberson, Edna Johnson and Bessie Mae Futch.

Left to cherish her memories is her daughter, Wanda Hamilton Dawson and husband Chuck; her granddaughter, Melissa Dawson Fu and husband Aaron and her step great grandchildren, Oscar and Cora; with numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Grainger Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Allen Ham and Pastor Herbert Smith officiating. The burial will be held at Westview Cemetery following the funeral service.

The family would like to say thank you to Authoracare Hospice but a special thank you to Toni Fellows, Ann Batten and Ruby Atkins for all that they did for Christine while under their care and their support to Wanda.
