John Harvey Parris

John Harvey Parris, Jr., 72, of Kinston passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Harmony Hall in Kinston.

He loved life and enjoyed being an Elvis Presley impersonator. John loved his church families and community. His humor and stories will be deeply missed.

John is preceded in death by his parents, John Harvey Parris and Sadie Deans Parris.

Left to cherish his memory is his sisters, Joan Parris Jones and husband Earl of Goldsboro, Brenda Parris Moore of Kinston, Shirley Parris Shivar and husband Linwood of Kinston, Susie Parris Snyder and Doug Haigler of Kinston; with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say thank you to the staff at Harmony Hall and ECU Medical Specialist doctors and staff for all they did for John.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Garner Funeral Home with Pastor Hank Jarman. Visitation will follow the memorial service.
